The results of the projects submitted under the Climate Change Area EEA Grants
19.07.2021
We are happy to inform that the Programme Operator (Minister of Climate and Environment) took the decisions to award grant to the projects of the Climate Change Area that are in line with the recommendations of the Selection Committee – an independent body consisting of Polish experts, PO’s representatives as well as representatives of Donor States i.e. Norwegian Environment Agency, The Norwegian Water Resources and Energy Directorate, National Energy Authority from Iceland accompanied by the representatives of Financial Mechanism Office (the Brussels- based secretariat for the EEA and Norway Grants) and Norwegian Embassy in Poland.
The decisions refer to following calls:
- The implementation of green and blue infrastructure in cities
- Awareness raising activities on climate change mitigation and adaptation carried out by schools
Both calls for proposals were extremely popular with applicants. 173 applications for co-financing were submitted for the total amount of EUR 169.6 million. It is worth emphasising that 86 applications were submitted in partnership with entities from the Donor States, i.e. Norway and Iceland. The projects provide various adaptation and mitigation activities. An important element complementing the projects will be information and education activities covering climate change issues.
Please find below a full list of projects that will receive support – in case of 25 applicants will receive an invitation to sign a project contact while the others remain on a reserve list.
