The Minister of Climate and Environment, with the support of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management as the Operator of the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme, informs about the conclusion of an agreement for co-financing the Thermomodernization of school buildings in the Dobrodzień Commune project.
The beneficiary of the project is the Dobrodzień Commune.
About the project
The project received funding in the call for proposals for Improvement of energy efficiency in school buildings under the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme, in the area of Renewable energy, energy efficiency, and energy security.
It is financed 70% from the funds of the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme, of which 85% comes from the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area (EEA FM) and 15% from the state budget.
The total cost of the project is PLN 5.1 million (EUR 1.2 million), and the grant awarded is PLN 3.6 million (EUR 0.8 million).
Additional funds for projects in the Programme
As a result of the increase procedure announced by the Ministry of Climate and Environment, the amount of co-financing for the project increased to PLN 4.7 million (over EUR 1 million).
Thermomodernization
The project will cover 3 buildings (a primary school in Pludry, Turza and an educational building in Dobrodzień). The project aims to improve the energy efficiency of the buildings of the Dobrodzień Commune through their modernization aimed at bringing them to the "passive" or "almost zero-emission" energy standard.
A primary school in Pludry
As part of the comprehensive thermal modernization of the Primary School building in Pludry, there are, among others, thermal insulation of the roof, replacement of door woodwork, lighting, photovoltaic installation, and modernization of the central heating installation (heat pumps).
A primary school in Turza
A comprehensive thermal modernization of the facility is planned, including thermal insulation of the external walls, roof and flat roof, replacement of window and door carpentry, modernization of the central heating and hot water installation, replacement of LED lights and installation of photovoltaic panels.
Educational building in Dobrodzień
It is planned to perform thermal insulation of the flat roof, replacement of window and door carpentry, modernize the central heating and hot water installation, replacement of LED lights and installation of photovoltaic panels.
Educational and promotional activities
As part of the project Thermomodernization of school buildings in the Dobrodzień Commune, several educational activities are planned. They aim to increase awareness of energy efficiency. An information and promotion campaign will be carried out among the local community and in the local media. It is planned to organize a press conference opening the project.
Among the benefits of the work carried out, the most important are:
- reduction of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions,
- reducing the consumption of energy from non-renewable sources,
- increasing the use of renewable energy sources (RES), and
- increasing public awareness of energy efficiency.
Partnership
The project partner is NORCE Norwegian Research Centre. The partnership aims to prepare and implement the project in question using the knowledge and experience of the Norwegian partner.
Implementation period
