The Minister of Climate and Environment, with the support of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management as the Operator of the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme, informs about the conclusion of an agreement for co-financing the Thermomodernization of school buildings with the use of renewable energy sources in the City of Myslenice and Myslenice Commune project.
The beneficiary of the project is the Myślenice Commune.
About the project
The project received funding in the call for proposals for Improvement of energy efficiency in school buildings under the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme, in the area of Renewable energy, energy efficiency, and energy security.
It is financed 70% from the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme funds, of which 85% comes from the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area (EEA FM) and 15% from the state budget.
The project’s total cost is EUR 1.9 million, and the grant awarded is over EUR 1.2 million.
Termomodernization
The project envisages the comprehensive thermal modernization of the structures of four educational institutions located in the City and Municipality of Myślenice:
- Primary school in Zasani - the roof will be insulated and a photovoltaic installation will be installed on it. The outer walls and basement floor will also be insulated and the outer door will be replaced. Lighting will be replaced with energy-saving LED fixtures and an internal gas installation will be made along with a gas boiler room.
- Primary School No. 3 in Myślenice - the central heating system will be modernized along with the replacement of radiators, and the flat roof and external walls will be thermomodernised. Windows and exterior doors will be replaced. A rooftop photovoltaic installation will be installed. Lighting will be replaced with energy-saving LED fixtures.
- Primary School in Poręba: insulation of external walls near the ground, basement floor, external walls, flat roof, replacement of the heat source with a condensing gas boiler and modernization of the central heating installation. and domestic hot water, replacing lighting with energy-saving ones, replacing leaky door joinery and installing a photovoltaic installation.
- Complex of Educational Institutions in Drogania - central heating installation will be performed along with the replacement of radiators, thermal modernization of the flat roof in the existing building along with the installation of a photovoltaic installation. Lighting will also be replaced with energy-saving LED fixtures.
The expected effects
In the City and Municipality of Myślenice, the thermal modernization of school buildings with the use of renewable energy sources will reduce the demand for fossil fuels, carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions, and energy consumption.
Implementation period
The contract for co-financing the project was concluded in January 2023 and the planned completion date is April 2024.
