Thermomodernization of the building of Adam Mickiewicz's Primary School No. 11 with Integration Branches in Jarosław

Environment Energy and Climate Change Programme MF EOG #ENERGY

The Minister of Climate and Environment with the support of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management as the Operator of the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme informs of the conclusion of an agreement for co-financing Thermomodernization of the building of Adam Mickiewicz's Primary School No. 11 with Integration Branches in Jarosław project.

The beneficiary of the project is the Municipality of Jarosław.

About the project

The project received funding in the call for proposals Improvement of energy efficiency in school buildings under the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Program, in the area of Renewable energy, energy efficiency, energy security.

It is financed in 70% from the funds of the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme, of which 85% comes from the Financial Mechanism of the European Economic Area (EEA FM) and 15% from the state budget.

The total cost of the project is PLN 4,700,099.11 (EUR 1,089,019.47), and the grant awarded is PLN 3,290,069.34 (EUR 762,313.62).

Aim of the project

The aim of the project is to improve energy efficiency and increase the production of energy from renewable sources by carrying out activities related to the deep energy modernization of the building of Adam Mickiewicz's Primary School No. 11 with Integration Branches in Jarosław and the implementation of educational activities in the field of energy efficiency for students of classes I-IV of Primary School No. 11, Primary School No. 2 and Primary School No. 4 in Jarosław.

As part of the project, a photovoltaic installation with a capacity of 32.4 KWP will be made, along with replacement of light sources with luminaires and modernization of the heating system - a modern condensing boiler room with an energy management system, replacement of radiators, thermostatic valves and air vents. External walls, flat roofs and basement walls will be insulated, window frames will be replaced, and the ventilation technology will be changed.

Project effects

Thanks to the implementation of the project, the energy efficiency of buildings will improve. CO2 emissions will be reduced, the production of energy from renewable sources and primary energy savings will increase.

During the implementation of the project, there will be an opportunity to draw the attention of the local community to issues related to energy security and energy efficiency. It is planned to conduct a series of weekly classes for children and youth of three Jarosław schools called "A better tomorrow for the Earth through natural energy sources", the aim of which is to raise awareness in the field of energy efficiency and the use of RES among students. During the implementation of the project, there will be press conference combined with an open day, to which residents of the commune and journalists working in regional media and representatives of local authorities will be invited.

Implementation period

The contract for co-financing the project was concluded on December 22, 2021 and the planned completion date is December 2024.
