SINGLE POINT OF CONTACT IN POLAND

Poland expresses its full solidarity with the government and people of Albania, victims of the recent massive cyber-attack. This intentional act of aggression in cyberspace was designed to impact the critical infrastructure, government services and social-economic situation of Albania. It has affected life of ordinary people, families and children.

Diia.pl – an electronic document issued to Ukrainian citizens who crossed the Polish-Ukrainian border after 24 February 2022 has been added to the catalogue of residence permits. Together with a valid travel document, it entitles Ukrainian citizens to cross Polish borders as of Saturday, 23 July 2022.

The frequency of DDoS attacks, the target of which are national institutions and entities has recently increased. This may cause difficulties in accessing the services provided by the website. The attacks do not affect the confidentiality of data processed by the attacked entities. The situation is monitored on an ongoing basis – inform the specialists from the CSIRT teams at the national level.

On 20 October 2022, the national Internet Governance Forum (IGF Poland) will take place once again. The Forum will provide an opportunity for multilateral and open discussions related to the functioning of the Internet. This year the IGF Poland will be held in Lublin.

On 1 July, Hungary took over the presidency of the Visegrád Group from Poland, taking the reins of the Virtual Office for V4 Digital Projects, which was set up during the Polish presidency.

During the plenary summit held in Montreal, Poland joined the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence and its responsible development.

25 Member States of the EU, including Poland, have signed a ministerial declaration on the development of cloud services for the private sector and public administration.
