On Monday, 17 June, the foreign minister will take part in a meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council in Luxembourg. The following day, he will visit Berlin, where he will deliver a lecture at the Humboldt University.

“The United Nations and the League of Arab States must join their forces to find the way to strengthen peace and stability in the Middle East through synergy,” said Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz during a UN Security Council briefing on cooperation of UN and the League of Arab States.

International cybersecurity aspects were discussed during the first round of consultations between Poland and the Republic of Korea in Warsaw on 13 June. The South Korean delegation was headed by Gunn Kim, Ambassador for International Security Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of South Korea. The Polish delegation was represented by Ambassador Marek Szczygieł, coordinator for international aspects of cybersecurity at the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“Thirty years after the formation of the Initiative, cooperation between countries in Central and South-Eastern Europe still has a lot to offer,” underscored Deputy Minister Piotr Wawrzyk at an annual meeting of foreign ministers of the Central European Initiative (CEI) in Trieste.

Foreign Ministers of the Czech Republic, the Republic of Estonia, the Republic of Latvia, the Republic of Lithuania, Hungary, the Republic of Bulgaria, the Italian Republic, the Republic of Malta, the Republic of Austria, the Republic of Croatia, the Republic of Slovenia, the Republic of Poland and the Slovak Republic called upon the Members of the Council to take decision on opening negotiations with the Republic of Albania and the Republic of North Macedonia in June 2019.

Poland supports the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia within its internationally recognized borders. We do not recognize the results of the so-called parliamentary elections held by separatist authorities in Tskhinvali in the Georgian territory of South Ossetia/Tskhinvali Region on 9 June 2019.

“Poland plays an active role in international humanitarian relief efforts to help countries affected by crises,” said the chief of Polish diplomacy during today’s conference “Responsible Business for Humanitarian Emergencies” which opened the Warsaw Humanitarian Expo.

On 12-13 June, Minister Jacek Czaputowicz is going to visit the United States.

On 10 June 2019 France, Germany, United Kingdom, Poland and Sweden have issued a statement on the ongoing political crisis in the Republic of Moldova:

“Palestine is an important partner for Poland in the Middle East and traditionally we have had very good relations,” said Minister Jacek Czaputowicz after a meeting with the chief of Palestinian diplomacy Riad Malki.
