Poland in Ethiopia

Ambassador Przemysław Bobak passed a selection of books about Poland and Polish language to Mr. Wubeyaho Mano, director of Abrehot Library.

On September 17th members of local Polish community together with their families participated in the reception organized in Ambassador’s residence. Representatives of business, artists, missionaries and Polish diplomats employed by international organizations were among the participants.

The staff of our Embassy had a pleasure to organise a courtesy meeting with a group of Ethiopian students, who are about to set up for Warsaw. The young Ethiopians received Banach Scholarship and are about to start their various MA courses across Poland since October.

Katowice, Poland will host the 11th World Urban Forum (WUF) from 26 to 30 June 2022. WUF is a prestigious international conference, organized by UN-Habitat for urban growth and human settlements. The theme of WUF11 is Transforming our Cities for a Better Urban Future. This will be the first time when WUF will take place in Central Europe.

Consular fees will be charged in USD only, by bank transfer to Embassy’s bank account in Poland or by cash.

Ambassador Bobak met with the students awarded with the Banach Scholarship 2021/22. High number of excellent candidates translated into 21 Ethiopian students being awarded, more than from any other eligible country.
