Amendment to the Act on assistance to Ukrainian citizens signed by the President

On Thursday, June 30, President Andrzej Duda signed an act amending the Act on ssistance to Ukrainian citizens in connection with an armed conflict in the territory of that state. The bill was submitted by the Minister of the interior and Administration.
The new regulations concern, among others, taking up a job by Ukrainian citizens in Poland. Their goal is to provide these people with an appropriate standard of protection.
The amendment also introduces solutions that will help local governments ensure regular care for the youngest children of refugees. It is essential when these children’s parents are working.
Amendments to the Act on assistance to Ukrainian citizens also apply to teaching Polish, and the new regulations will allow poviat labour offices to organize training in Polish for foreigners. The Act facilitates the organization of education for people coming from Ukraine. It also applies to ensuring equal access to support in the form of additional Polish language learning for people who are and are not Polish citizens studying abroad.
Moreover, the amendment clarifies the provisions to eliminate cases of applying for and receiving benefits by Ukrainian citizens who left Poland for more than 30 days.
