Bartosz Wiśniakowski
Director-General
Born on 5 May 1983 in Warsaw.
Graduate of a Master’s programme in Finance and Banking at Koźmiński University in Warsaw, as well as two doctoral programmes - in Economic Sciences and in Management - at Koźmiński University in Warsaw. He also is a graduate of the University of Economics and Human Sciences in Warsaw with a Master of Business Administration degree.
In 2005-2018, he was employed at Eko-Efekt Sp. z o.o., where he worked first as an analyst, then as Director for Economic and Financial Affairs, and he eventually served as the Vice-President of the Management Board, where he was responsible for the planning, oversight and implementation of investment projects in the field of energy and environmental protection.
In 2009-2018, he served as an expert in the fields of economics and finance, successively working with the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (Infrastructure and Environment 2007-2013 Operational Programme), the Oil and Gas Institute - National Research Institute and the Ministry of Energy (Infrastructure and Environment 2014-2020 Operational Programme).
In 2018-2024, he served as Deputy Mayor of the district of Wilanów of the City of Warsaw and as the Councillor of the Mazovian Voivodeship in the 6th term of office of the Assembly from 2018 to 2024.
In June-October 2024, he was deputy head of the Department of Public Administration at the Ministry of the Interior and Administration. On 1 October, he was appointed Director General at the Ministry of the Interior and Administration.
