Delivery of seven cars to the Ukrainian Police - an event attended by Minister Mariusz Kamiński in Lviv

On Thursday, 2 March Minister Mariusz Kamiński held talks with Ukrainian Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko in Lviv. The event marked the first meeting of the two counterparts. During the visit, the head of the Polish Ministry of Internal Affairs transferred seven police cars to the Lviv Police. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister Bartosz Grodecki, Commander in Chief of the Polish Police, General Inspector Jarosław Szymczyk, as well as Commander in Chief of the Polish Border Guard, Maj. Gen. Tomasz Praga.
During the press conference, Minister Mariusz Kamiński highlighted the fact that it was our duty to help Ukrainian refugees.
Our Ukrainian neighbours have suffered a disaster. We have helped and we continue our support out of the sense of immense solidarity with you
he noted.
The Polish Minister of Internal Affairs also spoke about the first day of the Russian invasion on Ukraine.
Women and young children were waiting for our help at the border. We extended our help, because their husbands and fathers are fighting on the front lines not only for the freedom of Ukraine, but also for Poland, Europe and the world
he explained.
Minister Mariusz Kamiński also announced that Poland will continue supporting Ukraine.
The final day of this war will mark a victory over this brutal Russian aggression. We admire your struggle; therefore we have the duty to offer concrete support to Ukrainian soldiers and the uniformed services of the Ministry of the Interior. You can always count on us

Minister Ihor Klymenko offered words of gratitude for Poland’s support, which started on the very first day of the Russian invasion.
The aid provided by our friends is very important for all of Ukraine. Poland is the staging ground for the humanitarian aid reaching our country. Thank you for all your support

Support for Ukraine
During the talks, the Polish and Ukrainian sides confirmed that the ongoing joint ventures and initiatives would continue. Poland has pledged further equipment and training support to uniformed services of the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs. Poland will also continue supporting Ukrainian refugees on Polish soil.
During his visit to Lviv, Minister Mariusz Kamiński also laid wreaths at the Cemetery of the Defenders of Lwów, as well as on the graves of the Sich Riflemen and the grave of a Ukrainian soldier killed a year ago in the battle with the Russian invaders.
