Minister Tomasz Siemoniak attended the Border Security - Organised Immigration Crime summit in London

On Monday, 31 March, Minister of the Interior and Administration and Coordinator of Special Services Tomasz Siemoniak took part in the Border Security - Organised Immigration Crime summit. The Minister of the Interior and Administration also met with representatives of the UK security sector.
Minister Tomasz Siemoniak attended an international summit organised by the UK Home Office. He took part in a debate on international cooperation in the area of combating organised migration crime and the trafficking of migrants.
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer opened the debate by pointing out the importance of international cooperation in the area of strengthening collective border security.
More than 40 countries participated in the event, including EU member states, the European Commission, China, Vietnam, Iraq and others. The list of attendees included representatives of Meta, X and TikTok, who, together with state delegates, talked about ways to counter the organisation of irregular migration online. The participants also talked about methods of financing migrant trafficking and the logistics of the process as well as the desired police response.
During his visit to London, Minister Tomasz Siemoniak also met with representatives of the UK security sector.
In addition, the Minister of the Interior and Administration participated in the Baltic States + Finland + Poland discussion, with topics including regional cooperation, hybrid threats, the situation on the border with Belarus and the protection of critical infrastructure against hybrid attacks.
Minister Tomasz Siemoniak was joined by Deputy Minister Maciej Duszczyk and Commander-in-Chief of the Border Guard Major General Robert Bagan.
