Poland and Lithuania share views on the main elements of Lithuanian-Polish cooperation. Both countries hope to achieve synergies in cooperation between authorities, including on issues of border control, both bilaterally and on the regional level. The Lithuanian side expressed interest in amendments to planned acts and laws pertaining to the temporary and local suspension of the right to apply for international protection.

Another important issue raised by the attendee concerned the system enabling response to attacks on maritime underwater infrastructure, which is another kind of hybrid warfare. Poland and Lithuania are concerned about incidents in the Baltic Sea.

During the meeting, the topic of support for Ukraine was also brought up. Both states are actively supporting Ukrainian refugees and institutions in their struggle against the ongoing aggression.
