28.01.2021The Migration Policy at the Justice and Home Affairs CouncilToday (28 January 2021), Deputy Minister Bartosz Grodecki participated at an informal meeting of the Justice and Home Affairs Council (JHA) organised by the Portuguese Presidency. The meeting discussed key issues for the future of the European Union, such as the migration and asylum policy, the future of Europol and the challenges faced by the Schengen area, particularly in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.

11.01.2021Polish-Portuguese consultations on the future EU migration and asylum policyOn 11 January 2021, Mr Bartosz Grodecki, Undersecretary of State in the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, held a discussion with Mr Eduardo Cabrita, the Portuguese Minister of the Interior. These were the first consultations of Portugal’s six-month Presidency of the Council of the European Union, inaugurated on 1 January. The subjects of discussion were the presidency's most important plans in the area of home affairs, particularly with regard to the European Union's future migration and asylum policy.

The project will last till February 2022.

17.12.2020The New Pact on Migration and Asylum - a common position of V4 countries, Estonia and SloveniaMinister Mariusz Kamiński, together with his counterparts from the Visegrad Group and Estonia and Slovenia, signed a common position on the New Pact on Migration and Asylum. The document was submitted to the German and the upcoming Portuguese Presidencies of the Council of the European Union and the European Commission.
