PRS (Public Rule Service) provided by the European Satellite Navigation System

A CPA Poland Team (Competent PRS Authority) has been operating within the Ministry of the Interior and Administration since September 2014, responsible for the Public Regulated Service (PRS).

The PRS is one of the services that form the emerging global satellite navigation system Galileo. The PRS will be more accurate than ordinary navigation and only public administration and emergency services will have access to it. The CPA Poland Team is the only entity in the country to which all inquiries and problems related to PRS should be reported.

Polish business entities may take part in programmes, projects or competitions related to the development of the PRS. This is contingent upon:

  • the applicant having Industrial Security Certificates issued by the Internal Security Agency (ABW) or Military Counterintelligence Service;
  • the applicant obtaining a security certificate issued by SAB (Security Accreditation Board).
