The Minister of the Interior and Administration held talks with the Deputy Prime Minister of Ukraine for the third time this year

On Friday, 14 March, Minister of the Interior and Administration Tomasz Siemoniak met Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Unity of Ukraine Oleksiy Chernyshov for the third time in 2025. The ministers continued their talks concerning the challenges stemming from the presence of Ukrainian war refugees in Poland.

There are currently more than 992,000 Ukrainian nationals registered in the UKR PESEL system, who are eligible for temporary protection in Poland. 

The politicians discussed possible future solutions for the residency of Ukrainian nationals in Poland, in particular in the case of a change in Ukraine’s situation.
