You can apply at a selected Polish consular office which provides translations from the language of the document.

You can submit the documents personally or send them by post.

You can book your appointment via the e-konsulat system.

The consul translates documents with repetitive content as part of the ongoing case (e.g. birth certificate, marriage certificate) from Norwegian into Polish. 

For translations of documents such as Norwegian birth certificates (Fødselsattest), marriage certificates (Vigselsattest) or confirmation of name change (Bekreftelse på navnendring), the fee is referred to in item 6.10 of the Consular Fees Table. From 1 January 2024, the fee is 563 NOK.

For translation of other documents the fee is referred to in item 6.08 of the Consular Fees Table. From 1 January 2024, the fee is 1012 NOK for each page.

You should pay the fee in cash, during your visit in our office. If you send the documents by post, you should pay by bank transfer.

The consul translates the document without undue delay, but not later than 30 days from the filing date.

Personally. You can also ask to have the documents delivered by post if you pay the postage.

If the translation is refused, the consul will issue a decision. You can appeal against the decision to the Minister of Foreign Affairs within 7 days. You can lodge the appeal through the consul who had issued the decision.
