16.04.2024Meeting of the President of the PAA with the Director of the IAEA’s Nuclear Power DivisionOn April 16, 2024, the President of the National Atomic Energy Agency hosted the Director of the IAEA’s Nuclear Power Division, Aline des Cloizeaux. The meeting focused on building the human resources potential of the Polish nuclear regulatory authority and the current challenges the PAA is facing. The role of laboratories and expert organizations in the licensing process (Technical Support Organizations, TSOs) and the IAEA's Nuclear Harmonization and Standardization Initiative, NHSI were also discussed.

05.04.2024Meeting with representatives of the United States Department of EnergyOn April 5, 2024, the President of the National Atomic Energy Agency, Andrzej Głowacki, met with the Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary for the Office of Nuclear Energy, Dr. Michael Goff. The meeting took place on the occasion of the ceremonial opening of the Polish-American Regional Training Center for Clean Energy Technologies (Clean Energy Training Center - CETC).

03.04.2024Opening of the Polish-American Regional Training Center for Clean Energy TechnologiesOn April 3, 2024, the official opening of the Polish-American Regional Training Center for Clean Energy Technologies (CETC - Clean Energy Training Center) took place. The international training center was inaugurated jointly by Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment Miłosz Motyka, US Ambassador to Poland Mark Brzezinski, representative of the US Department of Energy Michael Goff, President of the National Atomic Energy Agency Andrzej Głowacki, Faculty Dean of the Warsaw University of Technology Prof. Krzysztof Zaremba and General Director of the Chamber of Commerce for Energy and Environmental Protection, Bogdan Pilch.

25.03.2024The IRRS mission report has been publishedThe International Atomic Energy Agency has published a report on the international Integrated Regulatory Review Service Mission (IRRS). The team of international experts of the IRRS mission concluded that the National Atomic Energy Agency is a competent nuclear regulatory body, and the team of the PAA’s employees is committed to the effective implementation of nuclear regulatory tasks, including preparation for supervision of and control over the safe implementation of nuclear energy in Poland.

15.03.2024Participation of the President of the National Atomic Energy Agency in the 36th International Conference of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory CommissionA delegation of the National Atomic Energy Agency (PAA), headed by President Andrzej Głowacki, took part in the 36th International Conference of the U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. This year's conference was devoted to current regulatory activities in the field of nuclear safety and their adaptation to the changing environment. The event, held on March 12-14 in the USA, attracted almost 3000 participants from over 40 countries.

12.03.2024Meeting of the President of the National Atomic Energy Agency with representatives of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the American operator Southern Nuclear at the Alvin W. Vogtle Nuclear Power Plant.Representatives of the National Atomic Energy Agency (PAA), headed by the President of the PAA, Andrzej Głowacki, had the opportunity to visit the newest American nuclear power plant using the AP1000 reactor. Two of the four units in the power plant are based on the same technology that is to be used in the first nuclear power plant in Poland.

06.03.2024The National Atomic Energy Agency begins its chairmanship of the ENSREG Working Group on Nuclear Safety and International CooperationOn March, 5, 2024, the 40th meeting of the Working Group on Nuclear Safety and International Cooperation (WG1), bringing together representatives of national nuclear regulators of the European Union Member States, was held. It was the first meeting that was chaired by the representative of the PAA, director of the Policy and International Cooperation Bureau, Iga Pocztarek-Tofil.

06.02.2024Strengthening of technical and expert support - the PAA President handed over authorisationThe President of the National Atomic Energy Agency (PAA), Andrzej Głowacki, handed over the authorisation decision to the President of the Polish branch of IDOM, Marcin Ward. The handing over of the decision took place on 2 February at the PAA headquarters.
