16.11.2021Promoting Poland as a tourist destination at Qatar Travel Mart 2021On 16-18 November 2021 the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Doha participated in Qatar Travel Mart 2021. The event was an opportunity to promote Poland's tourist attractions and increase the interest of local partners, including travel agencies, in organizing tours to our country. The initiative was prepared in cooperation with the Polish Tourism Organization (POT), which representative was available at the stand.

04.11.20217th edition of European Jazz Festival in DohaDuring the 7th edition of the European Jazz Festival in Doha on 4 November the Embassy organized a concert of Polish artists: Monika Borzym, vocalist and Krzysztof Dys, pianist. The duet presented a repertoire from the music and literary project "Monika sings old songs".

20.10.2021Cooperation in the field of higher educationOn October 20 H.E. Mr. Janusz Janke met with the President of Qatar University, Dr. Hassan Rashid Al Derham and the Director of International Affairs Office, Mr.Cesar Wazen. The talks focused on the cooperation between Qatar University and Polish universities as well as joint implementation of initiatives in the field of science and education.

18.10.2021Meeting at the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI)On October 18 H.E. Mr. Janusz Janke, accompanied by representatives of Qatar-Poland Business Council, met with a member of the Management Board of Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI), Mr. Rashid H. Al Athbah. The talks focused on bilateral economic cooperation and business events planned by the Embassy for 2021 that the Chamber could facilitate and support.

06.10.2021Meeting with Stanisław Lem over Arabic CoffeeOn the occasion of 100th birthday anniversary of the renowned Polish science-fiction writer Stanisław Lem, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Doha, in collaboration with Fire Station Artist in Residence, on 6th October 2021 hosted the “Meeting with Stanisław Lem over Arabic Coffee”. The event was attended by notable guests such as: Mr. Khalifa Al Obaidli, Director of Fire Station, Ms. Tan Huism, Executive Director of Qatar National Library, representatives of the Doha Film Institute and Qatar Museums Authority as well as representatives of the Polish community professionally associated with the cultural and scientific activities.

Submissions are open by 8 October. IGF2021 is the most important international conference of recent years. Key decisions on the governance and further development of the Internet will be made during this event.

27.08.2021Qatari cadets graduated from the Naval Academy in GdyniaOn August 27 the Polish Naval Academy in Gdynia held a solemn graduation ceremony of awarding diplomas to eight cadets from the State of Qatar. This is the second group of alumni from the State of Qatar.

16.07.2021INNOGLOBO – the new NCBR funding programme concentrated on global R&D ideasThe first call of the INNOGLOBO programme was launched on 1 July 2021 and the application deadline is 30 November 2021. Under this programme, it will be possible to start financing projects carried out by international consortia, in which Polish entities have no restrictions in selecting partners from abroad. Foreign partners can come from all countries with which Poland maintains diplomatic ties, except for those countries with which NCBR regularly launches bilateral calls for R&D projects, i.e. China, Israel, Luxembourg, Germany and Turkey.
