Czesław Siekierski, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, talked today with Mykola Solski, Minister of Agricultural and Food Policy of Ukraine. It was the second meeting of the two politicians this year, organised online. The meeting was attended also by Bogusław Wijatyk, Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Czesław Siekierski met Israeli Ambassador to Poland Yacov Livne on Friday, February 16. The officials confirmed their mutual interest in strengthening bilateral cooperation in the area of agriculture.

Today, the Undersecretary of State Adam Nowak met at the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development with the new Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Poland Amirsaid Agzamkhodjaev. The Deputy Minister congratulated the new Ambassador on taking up the mission in Warsaw and expressed hope for strengthening Polish-Uzbek cooperation.

– We are an important producer of fruit and vegetables that play an important role in the Polish export. I would like to thank fruit-growers, processors and exporters for their joint work – said the Undersecretary of State Adam Nowak during the official opening of the Polish stand at the Fruit Logistica International Fruit and Vegetable Fair in Berlin.

Today’s meeting of Minister Czesław Siekierski with the USA Ambassador to the Republic of Poland Mark Brzezinski was devoted to the situation in agricultural markets and the possibilities of developing Polish-American cooperation in the field of agriculture. Director General Bogusław Wijatyk also participated in those talks. The visit of the USA ambassador to the MARD was an opportunity to highlight strategic relations between Poland and the United States.

Today, Minister Czesław Siekierski participated in a symposium on climate-friendly agriculture and biogas, organised as part of the visit of Denmark’s King Frederik X to Poland. This is the first foreign visit of King Frederik X.
