01.12.2021Deputy Minister Błażej Poboży presented principles for the presence of the media in the border area with Belarus– ‘We have worked out principles that will guarantee safety for journalists reporting on events from the border, and help maintain the safety of formations subordinate to the Ministry of the Interior and Administration and the Polish Armed Forces,’ said Deputy Minister Błażej Poboży during a press conference at the headquarters of the Border Guard. Today's (1 December) conference was also attended by Lieutenant Anna Michalska – a press officer of the Border Guard Headquarters, Stanisław Żaryn – a press officer of the Minister Coordinator of Special Services and Inspector Mariusz Ciarka – a press officer of the Police Headquarters.

The main topic of the politicians' discussions was the crisis on the eastern border of the European Union. The head of the British government informed that, in the situation of the migration crisis, his country stands side by side with Poland. He also emphasized that, in terms of long-term security but also many other areas, Poland is the closest European ally of the United Kingdom in NATO.

26.11.2021The Senate has adopted, with amendments, the amendment to the Act on the Protection of the State Border– "We have decided that in this situation it is necessary to provide Border Guard officers, police and soldiers with instruments which will make their service even more effective," said Deputy Minister Maciej Wąsik during work on the Act in the Senate. On Friday (26 November), the senators adopted the amendment to the Act on the Protection of the State Border and Certain Other Acts, amending it. The bill will now go back to the Sejm for debate.
