– ‘We have worked out principles that will guarantee safety for journalists reporting on events from the border, and help maintain the safety of formations subordinate to the Ministry of the Interior and Administration and the Polish Armed Forces,’ said Deputy Minister Błażej Poboży during a press conference at the headquarters of the Border Guard. Today's (1 December) conference was also attended by Lieutenant Anna Michalska – a press officer of the Border Guard Headquarters, Stanisław Żaryn – a press officer of the Minister Coordinator of Special Services and Inspector Mariusz Ciarka – a press officer of the Police Headquarters.

From 1 to 3 December 2021, Poland’s top diplomat Zbigniew Rau will take part in Ministerial Council of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE).

Two forceful attacks on the Polish border took place yesterday (29 November 2021) in the evening near Mielnik and Szudziałowo.

The operation of the Territorial Defence Forces codenamed “Strong Support” is ongoing in the Lubelskie and Podlaskie Voivodeships. Its purpose is to strengthen the resilience of local communities from border regions against threats of a hybrid nature.

The meeting of representatives of all Polish parliamentary clubs and groups, held on the initiative of PM Mateusz Morawiecki, focused on the current difficult geopolitical situation. Among the major threats indicated were actions taken by the Lukashenko regime, which put the Polish-Belarusian border of the EU at risk, as well as actions aimed at destabilising the situation in Ukraine and energy issues – e.g. manipulating energy deliveries and gas prices.

On the evening of 28 November, on the section protected by the Border Guard post in Mielnik, a group of over 30 people attempted to force through the Polish-Belarusian border.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki met with Prime Minister Boris Johnson in London. The main topic of the politicians' discussions was the crisis on the eastern border of the European Union. The head of the British government informed that, in the situation of the migration crisis, his country stands side by side with Poland. He also emphasized that, in terms of long-term security but also many other areas, Poland is the closest European ally of the United Kingdom in NATO.

– "We have decided that in this situation it is necessary to provide Border Guard officers, police and soldiers with instruments which will make their service even more effective," said Deputy Minister Maciej Wąsik during work on the Act in the Senate. On Friday (26 November), the senators adopted the amendment to the Act on the Protection of the State Border and Certain Other Acts, amending it. The bill will now go back to the Sejm for debate.
