The date is not accidental – on 22 October 1983, on the fifth anniversary of the inauguration of the pontificate of John Paul II, the Holy See proclaimed the "Charter of Family Rights" at the request of the Holy Father. Family Rights Day is an opportunity to emphasise the importance of the family as the foundation of Poland’s development, and to stress the need for special care for the family rights.

Then, these benefits are to increase by 13.8 percent, but no less than PLN 250. We seek not to make this indexation symbolic. The point is to ensure a decent life for the oldest generation, emphasised Marlena Maląg, Minister of Family and Social Policy.

06.10.2022Protection of minors from harmful content on the netOn Thursday, 6 October, a press conference was held at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister for Digital Affairs, with the participation of the Minister of Family and Social Policy, Marlena Maląg, Government Plenipotentiary for Cybersecurity, Janusz Cieszyński, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Family and Social Policy, Barbara Socha, President of the Family Council, Dorota Bojemska and Director of the NASK National Research Institute, Wojciech Pawlak. During the conference, the NASK report – “Teenagers in the face of digital pornography” and the draft act on the protection of minors on the internet, which requires Internet providers to implement a mechanism allowing to block access of children to pornographic content, were presented.
