On Wednesday (June 12, 2024), a special ceremony took place at the Ministry of Justice. Iver Ørstavik, a Norwegian human rights activist, received the Badge of Honor for Merits to the Administration of Justice from Minister of Justice Adam Bodnar.

Minister of Justice, Prosecutor General Adam Bodnar met today (June 10, 2024) at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Belgium in Poland with ambassadors of EU member states.

“In the coming weeks, a draft law on implementing the judgments of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) will be presented,” announced Minister of Justice Adam Bodnar at a conference (June 6) in Strasbourg, organized after meetings at the Council of Europe. The new regulations aim to define the process of implementing judgments and ensure consistency in the state's reform process.

The Ministry of Justice has joined the Confederation of European Probation (CEP), an organization that brings together practitioners, managers, and researchers working in the field of probation and criminal justice across Europe.

The European Commission decided today (May 29, 2024) to close the procedure under Article 7 of the Treaty on the European Union against Poland. The application to start the procedure was submitted to the EU Council in 2017.

"Our actions show that Poland wants to be a reliable and loyal partner of the European Union," said Minister of Justice Adam Bodnar during today's (May 27) inauguration of the Rule of Law Clinic at the CEU Democracy Institute in Budapest.

"This is an important day for Poland and for our citizens. Everything indicates that the procedure under Article 7 of the Treaty on European Union will soon be closed," said the Polish Minister of Justice Adam Bodnar during today's (May 21) speech in Brussels, where he participated in the EU General Affairs Council (GAC).

"The status of judges appointed on the basis of the recommendations of the current National Council of the Judiciary should be regulated by a separate law," said Polish Minister of Justice Adam Bodnar during today's (May 20) speech in Brussels.

"Poland has supported, is supporting, and will continue to support efforts for the fastest possible democratization of public life in the Republic of Belarus," said Polish Minister of Justice Adam Bodnar during today's (May 17) meeting with the Deputy Head of the United Transitional Cabinet of Belarus, Head of the National Anti-Crisis Management, Ambassador Pavel Latushka.

On May 15, Polish Deputy Minister of Justice Maria Ejchart paid a visit to the Ministry of Justice and Security of the Netherlands in The Hague.
