28.05.2021Official celebration of 81st. anniversary of Battle of NarvikThe official celebration of the 81st anniversary of the Battle of Narvik has taken place on 28th of May. In the commemoration of the anniversary participated delegations of the Allied States, the authorities of Narvik and representatives of the Armed Forces of Norway. Polish side was represented by the Defense Attaché, Comandor Bogdan Anuszkiewicz, Vice-consul Andrzej Jach, as well as a representative of the local Polish community - Mrs. Elżbieta Borgso.

04.05.2021Celebrations of the Day of Polish Community and Poles Abroad and Republic of Poland Flag Day and 230th anniversary of the Constitution of 3 May in OsloOn 02/05/2021, on the occasion of the Day of the Polish Diaspora and Poles Abroad, the Day of the Flag of the Republic of Poland and the 230th anniversary of the Constitution of 3 of May, in front of the Monument of Polish Aviators at the Vestre Gravlund cemetery in Oslo has taken place the ceremony of hoisting the Polish flag on the mast, laying bouquets and lighting candles.

For its time, it was a progressive and bold legal act which initiated a number of reforms. It also constituted a crowning achievement of the centuries-old links between Poland and Lithuania.

20.04.2021Commemoration of 78th anniversary of Warsaw Ghetto Uprising in NorwayApril 19, on the 78th anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising the Ambassadors of the Republic of Poland and the State of Israel in the Kingdom of Norway, Iwona Woicka-Żuławska and Alon Roth, laid flowers at the monument commemorating the deportation of Jews from Norway during World War II in Oslo.

13.04.202111th anniversary of Smoleńsk CatastropheOn April 10, 2021, on the 11th anniversary of the Smoleńsk Catastrophe, a representative of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Oslo laid a wreath at the Vestre Gravlund cementery commemorating this tragic event. On the occasion of upcoming #Katyń Massacre Remembrance Day representative of the Embassy paid also homage to nearly 22 000 Polish citizens brutally murdered by the NKVD in the spring of 1940.
