16.07.2021INNOGLOBO – the new NCBR funding programme concentrated on global R&D ideasThe first call of the INNOGLOBO programme was launched on 1 July 2021 and the application deadline is 30 November 2021. Under this programme, it will be possible to start financing projects carried out by international consortia, in which Polish entities have no restrictions in selecting partners from abroad. Foreign partners can come from all countries with which Poland maintains diplomatic ties, except for those countries with which NCBR regularly launches bilateral calls for R&D projects, i.e. China, Israel, Luxembourg, Germany and Turkey.

30.06.2021The meeting with the CEO of Mwani QatarOn 30 June H.E. Mr. Janusz Janke paid a visit to the Hamad Port, where he met the CEO of Qatar Ports Management Company (Mwani Qatar), Captain Abdulla Al Khanji, accompanied by the CEO of Qterminals, Mr. Nevill Bissett. The talks concerned the Polish-Qatari cooperation in the maritime sector in the areas of such as infrastructure, logistics and ports’ management.

17.06.2021Polish-Qatari cooperation in defense industryOn 17 June H.E. Mr. Janusz Janke met Mr. Abdullah Hassan Al Khater, Vice-President of Barzan Holdings, a company fully owned by the Qatari armed forces with key roles in three areas: investment, research and development, and strategic defense procurement. The purpose of the meeting was to present the offer of Polish companies in the sector as well as to analyze possibilities for bilateral cooperation.

Mr. Janusz Janke, the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland, met general major Abdulaziz bin Faisal bin Mohamed Al Thani, the commander of internal security forces Lekhwiya. The discussions concerned the cooperation between the two countries in the field of security, prospects for its development as well as the preparations of the World Football Championships FIFA 2022 in Qatar.

Mr. Abdulla bin Nasser Turki Al Subaey. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the aspects of current Polish-Qatari cooperation in the field of civil aviation and the prospects for its further development.

It was granted the Honorary Patronage of H.E. the Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the State of Qatar, Mr. Janusz Janke, whose speech opened the third day of the event.
