The training course “Ukrainian in West Pomerania - a guide for the official” at the West Pomeranian Voivodeship Office
On December 16-17, 2022, in the building of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship Office, the training course was held as part of the project financed by the Fund for Asylum, Migration and Integration (FAMI) – “Ukrainian in West Pomerania - a guide for the official.” The course was conducted by employees of the Department of Civil Affairs and Foreigners of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship Office, and representatives of services and institutions dealing with foreigners (the Border Patrol, the Social Insurance Institution, the National Health Fund and the Board of Education).
The discussed matters were:
- Basic legal changes regarding determining the legality of residence, taking into account the issues aroused by the pandemic situation related to countering and combating COVID-19 and the need to assist Ukrainian citizens in connection with the military conflict on the territory of the country;
- Scopes of social benefits and social insurance available to Ukrainian citizens;
- Areas of medical benefits;
- Issues related to the education of children of foreigners;
- Processes of legalizing the residence of foreigners on the territory of the Republic of Poland and presentations of the official information technology systems used in legalization procedures.
