07.12.2023Training of the PAA’s employees in detection of radioactive materialsOn Monday, employees of the National Atomic Energy Agency began a training on the use of the RSI (Radiation Solutions Inc.) system used to detect radioactive materials. The state-of-the-art RSX-1 detectors that are included in this system will become part of the PAA’s equipment.

The authorization paves the way to apply for the role of a technical support organization for the PAA in the process of licensing and supervision of the construction of nuclear power plants.

Until now, our country has had an observer status. Poland's application for full membership was approved by all the countries making up the Association at the WENRA plenary meeting, which is being held in Paris on November 13-15th.

26.09.2023PAA expands international cooperation - agreement with the Nuclear Safety and Security Commission of the Republic of KoreaThe head of the polish nuclear regulatory authority of the Republic of Poland, Andrzej Głowacki, and Gukhee YOO, chairman of the Nuclear Safety and Security Commission of the Republic of Korea, signed a cooperation agreement. As part of the cooperation, the nuclear regulatory authorities will exchange knowledge and experience in the field of nuclear safety.
