04.09.2023The Integrated Regulatory Review Service in Poland has begun20 foreign nuclear safety and radiation protection experts are participating in the second mission of the Integrated Regulatory Review Service (IRRS). For a fortnight, the specialists will assess the compliance of the national nuclear regulatory system with international standards. The IRRS mission came to Poland at the invitation of the Polish government. The official opening took place on Monday, September 4, 2023, at the PAA headquarters.

The meeting took place at the PAA headquarters. The conversation was part of the development of cooperation between the Canadian and Polish nuclear regulators.

11.07.2023The first foreign institution authorized by the PAA PresidentThe Institute of Radiological Protection and Nuclear Safety (French: Institut de radioprotection et de sûreté nucléaire - IRSN) became the first foreign entity authorized by the PAA President. The decision on the authorization was handed over by the head of the Polish nuclear regulatory authority, Andrzej Głowacki. The meeting with the French delegation took place on July 11 at the PAA headquarters.

The arrangement was signed by the presidents of the two institutions during a bilateral meeting in Washington.

14.06.2023Polish-Canadian cooperation for SMRThe President of the National Atomic Energy Agency and the Vice President of the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) have signed the Terms of Reference (ToR) for the Memorandum of Cooperation on Small Modular Reactors (SMR). A committee on advanced nuclear technologies and SMRs was established, with experts from the CNSC and PAA as members.
