Reorganization of the Information and Advisory Point for Ukrainian citizens
The reorganization of the Information and Advisory Point for Ukrainian Citizens at 15/17 Nowy Świat St. is currently in progress, so it can start its activity under the NP AMIF Project as of October 3rd, 2022. Information support will be provided regarding issues related to all the aspects of living in Poland, incl. professional activity or learning the Polish language.
The Information and Advisory Point for Ukrainian Citizens will be open 10 am - 6 pm, Monday to Friday.
In the frame of the project of: Supporting the integration of foreigners in Mazovia with the particular emphasis on the needs resulting from the mass influx of third-country nationals caused by the war in Ukraine, The Mazovian Voivodship Office has invited to cooperate under the above mentioned project two non-governmental organizations acting on behalf of the refugees from Ukraine - the Foundation for Somalia and the Linguae Mundi Foundation. The Mazovian Voivode, Konstanty Radziwiłł, signed on September 30th, 2022 Partnership Agreements on the joint implementation of the Project, which is subsidized by the National Programme of Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund and the state budget. The cost of this Project is over PLN 18.2 million, of which the state budget co-financing is over PLN 4.5 million, and the National Programme of Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund contribution is over PLN 13.6 million.
The advisory and information activities for Ukrainian citizens - conducted by the these Foundations will be mainly focusing on psychological and legal assistance, legalization of stay and supporting professional activities, as well as business and tax issues. There will be also adaptation and Polish language courses.
Moreover, it is planned to launch a cycle of integration and intercultural events, where the foreigners will have a chance to present their own culture, meet other foreigners and know more about Poles and the Polish culture.
There has been so far 13 non-governmental organizations cooperating with the Mazowiecki Voivode on behalf of the Information and Advisory Point for Ukrainian citizens located at 15/17 Nowy Świat St., where over 4.8 thousand people benefited from this particular assistance (as of July 31st this year).
What is worth mentioning, all newly arrived refugees at the Railway Central Station are provided with full information including social and medical assistance, while those who are in a need of a comprehensive care are provided with 24-hour free transport to the temporary accommodation place for refugees at Ptak Warsaw Expo in Nadarzyn, where they will find accommodation, meals and 24-hour medical care.
