December 31, 2020 was the deadline for submitting grant applications within the call ‘Increasing the efficiency of energy generation in existing small hydropower plants (up to 2MW)’

On 21st of December 2020 the last agreement on the predefined project realised within the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme had been signed

On 3rd of December 2020 first projects agreements for the predefined projects within the Programme “ Energy, Environment and Climate Change” had been signed

In response to requests from potential applicants and in connection with the coronavirus pandemic, the Minister of Climate and the Environment has decided to extend the deadlines for submitting applications. The decision concerns the calls for geothermal energy and small hydropower plants that have been announced on May 18, 2020 under the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Programme.

9 calls had been already closed for application. The number of application in each call and requested amount for the projects’ implementation exceeded estimates of the Programme Operator. Below we are presenting the details of already closed calls.

All calls carried out within the “Environment, Energy and Climate Change” Programme give the possibility to implement projects with a partner from Donor States (Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein). The primary goal of such projects is to initiate and reinforce networks with foreign institutions and share and confront ideas, best practices and methods with each other. Due to such partnership it is possible to gain and increase the capacity to operate at international level. All projects planned to be carried out with a partner will receive extra points during the assessment process carried out by the Programme Operator.
