What problem is addressed by the project?
The project has helped to make significant advancements in plant protection through a technology that allows a a more precise and even application of spray liquid on trees while reducing protective agent use, losses (caused by liquid drift) and emissions into the environment. The project outcome – a tunnel orchard sprayer with spray liquid recovery – meets all the requirements of the “European Green Deal” regarding a 50-percent reduction in plant protection agent doses to be achieved by 2030. Who uses the project results?
The project outcomes will be addressed to approx. 63,000 tree-fruit growing farms (apple trees, pears, cherry trees, plums), whose total area in Poland is about 210,00 ha
