Brussels Talks: How to streamline clean planet research in Europe?
13.05.2024
In the framework of „Brussels Talks” series, organized by the NCBR Office in Brussels | Business & Science Poland, we cordially invite you to join another meeting – the topic in May is Clean Planet research and our distinguished guest is Rosalinde van der Vlies, Director of Clean Planet, DG RTD, European Commission. The event takes place on Wednesday, 22nd of May 2024, 11:00-12:00.
The Clean Planet in DG R&I is responsible for climate, energy and mobility, i.e. for the topics that constitute cluster 5 of the Horizon Europe program. The budget of this cluster is approximately €15 billion for 2021-27, which is clear proof of the importance of these issues in the EU research and innovation support policy. Working closely with other DGs - Energy, Mobility and Transport, and Climate Action - the team led by Rosalinde van der Vlies also runs 2 of the 5 EU missions, i.e. the 100 climate neutral and smart cities mission and the adaptation to climate change mission.
The event will be hosted by Ewa Kocińska-Lange, director of the NCBR Office in Brussels.
- What is the future of the Green Deal in research and innovation?
- To what extent is the cleantech R&I resilient to outcomes of the European elections?
- Is there a snowball effect in the cities mission?
- How to double down on the hydrogen research?
- How to combat the stumbling blocks of the clean transport transition?
