SPPW CALL 2025/RESEARCH AND INNOVATION PROGRAMME, APPLIED RESEARCH/THE SWISS-POLISH COOPERATION PROGRAMME
The Swiss-Polish Cooperation Programme, Research and Innovation Programme, Applied Research aims to achieve sustainable development and long-term economic growth through research-based knowledge development.
International R&D projects carried out under the programme should lead to improvements in the competitiveness of companies in applied research and support young researchers and women in projects.

For whom
Projects must be submitted by consortia consisting of at least one Polish and one Swiss entity. The consortium must include at least one company established in Poland and one company established in Switzerland. A research organisation may only be part of a consortium if the above condition is fulfilled.
Entities from countries other than Poland and Switzerland may participate using their own funds.

For what
Call 2025 aims to support international, Polish-Swiss applied research projects. The following types of R&D are eligible:
- Industrial research, as defined in Article 2(85) of Commission Regulation (EU) No 651/2014,
- Experimental development, as defined in Article 2(86) of Commission Regulation (EU) No 651/2014.

Thematic scope
Call 2025 is not thematically restricted. Research planned under the project must focus exclusively on civilian applications.

Budget of the Call 2025
The total allocation for Call 2025 is PLN 66 203 985,86 (sixty-six million two hundred and three thousand nine hundred eighty five and 86/00 PLN) / CHF 14 761 859,14 (fourteen million seven hundred sixty one thousand eight hundred fifty nine and 14/100 CHF).
The minimum amount of co-financing per project is PLN 2 242 400 (two million two hundred and forty two thousand four hundred PLN) / CHF 500 000 (five hundred thousand CHF);
The maximum amount is PLN 4 484 800 (four million four hundred and eighty-four thousand, eight hundred PLN) / CHF 1 000 000 (one million CHF).The duration of the project is between 24 and 36 months.
The final date for eligibility of costs is 31 March 2029.
All expenses and payments between the Programme Operator, Programme Component Operators and Programme Component Partners must be accounted for and reported in PLN.
The exchange rate used for conversions from Swiss francs - CHF to PLN in Recruitment 2025 is as follows: 1 CHF = 4.4848 PLN.

Funding
Funding in Call 2025 can cover up to 100% of eligible costs for research organisations. For enterprises, the amount of funding will be determined individually depending on the size of the company and the type of research/development, in accordance with the Regulation on granting public aid through the National Centre for Research and Development (Dz.U. item 1456 of 2020).
Only industrial research and experimental development will be funded. Other types of activities (e.g. coordination, dissemination, management) are not eligible for funding as separate tasks. However, they may be included in the relevant cost category under the research tasks in the individual WP.Large enterprises

The financial allocation between partners should reflect the actual contribution of each party and should be jointly prepared between the Programme Component Operator and Programme Component Partners. Eligible costs claimed by Swiss entities participating in the project may not exceed 40% of the total eligible costs of Polish and Swiss entities.
Each enterprise, whether from Poland or Switzerland, shall contribute at least 10% to the total eligible costs of the project.
In the case of participation in a consortium of entities from outside Poland and Switzerland, their share in the total eligible costs of the project may not exceed 10%.
