Meet our team

The Project Team consisted of: Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager and legal and HR/financial support.

What problem does our project solve?

The Legnica Special Economic Zone has been operating in Legnica for more than 20 years, with several automotive-related workplaces. The above companies had a direct influence on the content input in the project (when planning the thematic scope of the internships or specialised training for students, they took into account their needs and trends in the markets ). Such cooperation solved the problem of the legitimacy of training future personnel for the MOTO industry in a relatively short period of time, as the project was a response to their demand. With the cooperation of Witelon Vocational School in Legnica with employers from the MOTO sector and the DKM (Lower Silesian Automotive Cluster), a project was implemented which, in a short period of time, adapted the skills, qualifications and competences of students to the needs of potential employers in the MOTO sector.

Who is going to benefit from the project results?

The results of the project primarily benefited 34 students of the University (from the Faculty of Technical Sciences and Economics, majoring in Management and Production Engineering,

full-time first degree students who, between 01.02.2018 and 30.07.2021, have benefited from high quality internship and placement programmes

the programme is designed to provide a range of educational opportunities (specialised training, workshops on professional and soft skills, study visits), as well as employment opportunities for employees in the automotive industry (graduates of the Collegium Witelon National University - formerly since 1 January 2022 the Witelon State Vocational School in Legnica) who, in a short training cycle, gained additional competences and qualifications: professional, communication and analytical skills tailored to the needs of potential MOTO employers.

Which aspect of the project implementation have we found to be the most challenging?

Due to the pandemic (disrupted supply chains, reduced production, job cuts among permanent employees in MOTO companies), the problem was the employment of graduates (project participants) at 30 % in the automotive industry - a mandatory indicator. The above indicator was realised at 25%. Other than that, the implementation of the project went smoothly.

Our advice to other Applicants

Listening to the needs of the local market, business environment, public administration etc. Close cooperation between the University and these entities. Responding to their needs. Inviting cooperation when applying for funds under the competitions announced.
