Navigating Horizon Europe's Global Opportunities
23.01.2025
The NCBR Office in Brussels – Business & Science Poland, the Lithuanian RDI Liaison Office in Brussels (LINO), the Slovenian Business & Research Association, Eötvös Loránd University and Corvinus University of Budapest are pleased to invite you to a series of virtual webinars on Navigating Horizon Europe's Global Opportunities.
On July 3, 2024, the Government of Canada and the European Commission signed an agreement that allows for Canada’s enhanced participation in Horizon Europe under Pillar 2. As of January 1, 2025, the Republic of Korea has joined the Horizon Europe Programme.
The European Commission now recognizes Canada and the Republic of Korea as associated country partners to Horizon Europe Pillar II and welcomes their researchers and organizations to participate in 2025 project calls onwards.
Associations play a pivotal role in fostering international collaboration within Horizon Europe by bridging research efforts between these nations and the EU. Researchers and institutions will have numerous opportunities to engage in joint research projects that leverage shared strengths and expertise.
The third part of the series is dedicated to the collaboration with African partners. The Africa Charter, co-created by Africa’s major higher education constituencies, is an Africa-centred framework for advancing a transformative mode of research collaborations that will serve to uphold the continent’s place in- and foster a more equitable- global system of scientific knowledge production. It was co-facilitated by the University of Bristol’s Perivoli Africa Research Centre. African Research Universities Alliance (ARUA) and The Guild of European Research-Intensive Universities launched twenty-one Africa – Europe Clusters of Research Excellence (CoRE) to address societal and scientific challenges framed by the AU-EU Innovation Agenda. These initiatives enhance research collaboration between African and European stakeholders.
Participants will gain valuable insights into the funding mechanisms available through Horizon Europe, including resources to support innovative research initiatives. The webinars will also feature engaging Q&A sessions.
We are looking forward to meeting with you!
