NCBR recognised by Nevada and Las Vegas authorities
09.05.2024
During the Las Vegas Global Accleration Forum held on the first day of NCBR-NAP acceleration activity in 2024, NCBR was awarded two certificates in recognition of the efforts towards the advancement of business and innovation relationship between Poland and the State of Nevada. On behalf of NCBR, Agnieszka Ratajczak, Director of the Department of International Cooperation, received the certificates granted by Lieutenant-Governor of the State of Nevada as well as by the Mayor and City Council
of Las Vegas.
The justification for the proof of recognition in the form of certificates awarded to NCBR are several years of efforts to bring closer the ecosystems of Poland and the State of Nevada. These are made in relation to state authorities, organisations supporting the development of entrepreneurship in Clark, Washoe and Carson City counties, the University of Nevada, Reno and Las Vegas, Polish entrepreneurs already present in Nevada, and, above all, startups from Poland and the US. All this has resulted in an excellent cooperation between NCBR, the State of Nevada as well as local organizations aimed at facilitating the entry of Polish companies looking to expand their businesses to the Nevada market. Both certificates also emphasise the political will of the State of Nevada and the subsequent declarations regarding the willingness to undertake new initiatives to strengthen bilateral cooperation, such as the organisation of the first edition of the Las Vegas Global Acceleration Forum in May 2024.
The first two editions of the NCBR-NAP acceleration activity were carried out in 2020-22 and 2023.
The aim of the activity is to connect the innovative ecosystems of Poland and the State of Nevada through the acceleration of young technology companies registered in Poland, selected
in a competitive procedure, on the American market, using from the experience of mentors from the State of Nevada and related institutions. 2024 sees the next edition of the activity being implemented, with recruitment for the 2025 one planned for Q4 2024.
