NCBR is responsible for implementing ‘The Research and Innovation Programme, Applied Research’ financed by the Second Swiss Contribution, the so-called Swiss Funds. The programme is intended to increase the scientific potential and innovativeness of Polish research units, universities and enterprises by facilitating cooperation in the area of research and innovation with Swiss and other international partners.

– International research and development projects implemented under the programme should lead to improved competitiveness of companies in applied research, which is manifested, among other things, in the practical application of research results through commercialisation or other practical implementation. – says prof. Jerzy Małachowski, the director of the National Centre for Research and Development. – The Programme should also support young and female researchers in the projects. Participation in joint research projects is an excellent opportunity for them to further develop their areas of expertise.
