What problem is addressed by the project?
Our goal for this project was to develop and deliver an integrated fume processing system. This integrated system is installed in place of the existing fume dedusting systems, so there is no need for any additional space.
As a modular system, the installation can have most of its elements prefabricated to make the assembly of ready sub-components on-site faster as there is no need for any lengthy boiler downtime.
Our solution addresses the market demand for adjusting WR25 heating boilers (and other WR- and OR-series boilers) to meet the requirements of Directive 2010/75/UE of the European Parliament and of the Council (the Industrial Emissions Directive, or IED), which imposes limits on the amounts of (SOx, NOx, dust) emissions. The project was so effective that it allowed us to reduce nitric oxide emissions to below 240 mg/Nm3, sulphur monoxide emissions to below 200 mg/Nm3, and dust to below 28 mg/Nm3.
Who uses the project results?
This project will reduce the adverse impact the company has on the natural environment by reducing pollutant emissions from the operated device. The project will help achieve legally acceptable levels of harmful substances.
The impact of this project on the environment will produce measurable economic benefits resulting from reduced morbidities among people working in the immediate vicinity. It will also contribute to the development of this industry by putting in place a solution that is cheaper than the ones available on the market.
The project will allow the heat-generating plant and the CHP plant to be used without having to make substantial capital expenditures, and will provide the necessary power security for local communities.
