This year, thanks to funds provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, Polish missionaries from the Congregation of the Discalced Carmelite Fathers organized three workshop sessions in the academic city of Gitega in Burundi, each of which was addressed to a group of 40 participants.

The donation was received at the Kigali International Airport by representatives of Rwandan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Poland in Rwanda Charles Ngarambe.

12.11.2021We celebrated the Independence Day in TanzaniaDuring the festive reception on the occasion of the 103rd anniversary of regaining independence organized in the gardens of the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Dar es Salaam, Ambassador Krzysztof Buzalski read a letter from Minister Szymon Szynkowski vel Sęk with wishes for the Polish diaspora in the world and recalled the history of regaining independence.

01.11.2021All Saints' Day visits in the cemeteries in Tengeru and KinondoniAll Saints' Day was an occasion to commemorate Polish exiles from World War II in Tanzania. Ambassador Krzysztof Buzalski together with a delegation from the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage laid a wreath at the Tengeru cemetery, and other representatives of the Embassy visited the Kinondoni cemetery in Dar es Salaam.

22.10.2021Thanks to Polish aid, we are equipping a new kindergarten building - Holy Family Day Care - in SegereaNew school furniture, mattresses as well as kitchen, laundry and playground equipment will soon serve the youngest children from Segerea, a district of Dar es Salaam, as well as the school personnel working in the kindergarten. The purchase of items from Polish Aid sources will allow the Missionary Sisters of the Holy Family to soon open a new kindergarten building – Holy Family Day Care.

09.10.2021Polish aid supports the enhancing of human and elephant coexistence in the Kilombero Valley in TanzaniaIn the framework of Polish aid, the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Dar es Salaam supports the activities of the non-governmental organization STEP that works in favor of improving the coexistence of people and elephants in the Kilombero Valley. The aim is to work out development solutions in the area of coexistence of wild animals and local communities, taking into account the problems arising due to the expansion of human settlement and agriculture to the areas where those mammals are active, for example along the borders of protected areas.
