The Swiss-Polish Cooperation Programme, Research and Innovation Programme, Applied Research aims to achieve sustainable development and long-term economic growth through research-based knowledge development.
International R&D projects carried out under the programme should lead to improvements in the competitiveness of companies in applied research and support young researchers and women in projects.
The purpose of the proposed Scheme is to provide immediate and effective support to Ukrainian researchers affected by the armed conflict on the territory of Ukraine via a simple and effective mechanism that will allow them to join the Polish-Norwegian teams and continue their scientific careers. Support of the development of human capital will be crucial for the future of Ukraine and its reconstruction.
The Scheme will contribute to support and develop cooperation with the Ukrainian academic community and enhance Ukrainian participation in the European research networks, and R&D&I programs.

The Small Grant Scheme (SGS) provides support for research projects implemented by women specializing in the area of technical sciences, which are the least feminized in comparison with other areas of science. It is aimed at strengthening the competences of female scientists allowing them for substantial advancement in their careers.

The IdeaLab is an innovative way of generating research projects coupled with real-time peer-review. The crucial element of the method is an interactive and intensive 5-day workshop involving approximately 30 participants from a range of disciplines and backgrounds, as well as a team of external experts (mentors and the director) and stakeholders. The workshop was organised by the National Centre for Research and Development in order to drive new approaches to address research challenges on a specific topic. The IdeaLab workshop took place on 2-6 March 2020 in Otwock and was organised by the National Centre for Research and Development.
The full proposal submitted in this call should be developed based on the project idea created during the IdeaLab workshop and submitted on the project idea form during the IdeaLab workshop.
