29.03.2023Andrzej Głowacki appointed as the new President of the PAAOn March 22, 2023, the Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, at the request of the Minister of Climate and Environment, appointed Andrzej Glowacki as the President of the National Atomic Energy Agency (PAA). On March 29, Anna Moskwa, Minister of Climate and Environment, on behalf of the head of the government, handed the appointment to the new President of the PAA.

21.02.202354th ENSREG plenary sessionOn March 20, a plenary session of the European Nuclear Safety Regulators Group (ENSREG) was held, bringing together representatives of the national nuclear regulatory authorities of the European Union Member States. Poland was represented by a delegation from the National Atomic Energy Agency, headed by the President of the PAA, Andrzej Głowacki, and the Director of the PAA's Policy and International Cooperation Bureau, Iga Pocztarek-Tofil.

On Wednesday, February 8th, the heads of the PAA and the ASzWoj signed an agreement on nuclear safety and radiological protection of the country.

31.01.2023Another institution with authorization of the PAA PresidentThe Polish Geological Institute - National Research Institute has received an authorization of the President of the National Atomic Energy Agency. The authorization confirms the high quality of work provided by the institution in terms of nuclear safety. It also gives the green light to apply for the role of a technical support organization for the PAA in the process of licensing of and supervision over the construction of nuclear power plants.
