On 9 May, the International Conference of Ministers for War Refugees from Ukraine was inaugurated by the Head of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, Mariusz Kamiński. The conference was also attended by Deputy Minister Paweł Szefernaker, Government Plenipotentiary for War Refugees from Ukraine, and Deputy Minister Bartosz Grodecki.

Today, on 5 May, in Hostomel near Kiyv, Minister Mariusz Kamiński and Heads of the Ministries of the Interior of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia met with Denys Monastyrski, Minister of the Interior of Ukraine. "This war is black and white; it is a fight between good and evil. Every decent person in the world and every decent country is with Ukraine," emphasised the Polish Minister.

"The purpose of economic sanctions is to hit the Russian economy so that Russia cannot wage war in Ukraine. The Polish sanctions list is complementary to the EU list. It refers to entities and oligarchs conducting real business on Polish territory," said Minister Mariusz Kamiński. On Tuesday, April 26, at the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, a press conference was held on the list of persons and entities subject to sanctions connected with the war in Ukraine. Deputy Minister Maciej Wąsik also attended the conference.

On Thursday, 14 April, President Andrzej Duda signed the Act on unique solutions to prevent support for aggression against Ukraine and protect national security. “Ukraine is fighting for the freedom of Europe, for the freedom of Poland. Russia has shown its true face as a brutal aggressor. The Polish Government is taking all possible measures to counteract this war. This Act proves that,” emphasised the Head of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration Mariusz Kamiński during work on the Act.

On Friday, 15 April, the Act on amending the Act on assistance to citizens of Ukraine in connection with armed conflict on the territory of that country and some other acts entered into force. The amendment was prepared by the Ministry of the Interior and Administration in cooperation with other ministries.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki has signed new orders to introduce the second alert degree (BRAVO) and the third alert degree CRP (CHARLIE-CRP) throughout the country. The degrees will be in force until 30 April 2022 at 23:59.

"We issue PESEL numbers throughout Poland. The adopted regulations were prepared by the Ministry of the Interior and Administration in cooperation with other ministries.
