2nd edition of the Swiss-Polish Cooperation Programme

The goal of the Research and Innovation Programme is to further strengthen the research excellence and innovation capacities of Polish research organizations, universities, and enterprises (with an emphasis on SMEs as engines of innovation and job creation) by facilitating the research and innovation cooperation with the Swiss partners.

The cooperation will be implemented bilaterally – through Polish-Swiss partnerships in the field of Applied Research. Thus, the Programme will contribute to increasing the competitiveness in the European Research Area (ERA) showing a potential for future collaboration beyond the time frame of the Programme. 

The Programme will be open to universities, research institutes, other entities conducting research and employing researchers, entrepreneurs (with an emphasis on SMEs) and researchers.

The total Swiss contribution for the Programme amounts to 35 million CHF, including 29 million CHF devoted to applied research with 6 million CHF earmarked for basic research projects. Polish state budget will contribute 15% of the total donor budget, estimated at 6,176 million CHF.
