Today, on 26 June 2023, a meeting between Minister Mariusz Kamiński and Minister Ihor Klymenko was held in Rzeszów. The ministers of the interior of Poland and Ukraine talked about equipment handed over to the Ukrainian uniformed services as support. The meeting was also attended by Deputy Minister Bartosz Grodecki and chiefs of the Police, Border Guard and State Fire Service.

Following the destruction of the dam on the Dnipro River in Nova Kakhovka, Minister of the Interior and Administration Mariusz Kamiński, in consultation with Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, decided to provide water tankers and high-capacity pumps as aid to Ukraine. The Ukrainian side requested this aid through the Emergency Response Coordination Centre (ERCC).

In view of the need to strengthen the pro-European government in Chișinău and ensure a high level of public safety, Minister Mariusz Kamiński, in consultation with Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, decided to transfer equipment and supplies, including weapons and ammunition, as well as helmets, tactical vests and protective gear to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Moldova in yet another gesture of support for Moldova’s security.

On Tuesday, 30 May, Deputy Minister Bartosz Grodecki and German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser participated in a meeting held at the Polish-German Centre for Cooperation of Border, Police and Customs Services. After the talks, the Ministers made a joint statement on border protection and the prevention of illegal migration.

Two days ago, on 29 May, Minister Mariusz Kamiński signed a regulation amending the regulation on temporary suspension or restriction of border traffic at selected border crossings. The regulation suspends cross-border freight traffic at border crossings with the Republic of Belarus for trucks, tractor units, tractor trailers, as well as semi-tractor trailers and combination vehicles registered on the territory of the Republic of Belarus and the Russian Federation.

In view of the fact that the Supreme Court of the Republic of Belarus has upheld the draconian sentence against Andrzej Poczobut and the continuing repressions against political opponents of the regime of Alexander Lukashenko perpetrated by the Belarusian authorities, the Minister of the Interior and Administration decided to include 365 Belarusian citizens in the register of foreigners whose residence on the territory of Poland is undesirable. These individuals will also be banned from entering the Schengen area, and their assets and resources have been effectively frozen. In addition, the Minister decided to freeze funds and assets of 20 entities and 16 individuals connected with Russian finance.

In the first month of operation, 900 citizens have taken advantage of the services of the Passport Bureau at the Warsaw Chopin Airport, issuing temporary passports. The Bureau enjoys significant popularity, with an average of 50 temporary passports issued each day.

On Tuesday, 9 May, a multi-day exercise of police units from Poland and Moldova ended in Chisinau. The activities aimed to allow our Moldovan partners to gain new experience in providing security during the organisation of critical international events with the participation of foreign delegations. At the end of the joint activities, officers from the special police subdivisions of both countries symbolically flew in a Polish Black Hawk helicopter over the Grand National Assembly Square in Chisinau, presenting the Moldovan and European Union flags.

On Tuesday, 18 April, a press conference was held by Minister Mariusz Kamiński and the Commander-in-Chief of the Police Inspector General Jarosław Szymczyk. The event was also attended by Daniel Lawton, Deputy Chief of Mission at the United States Embassy in Poland. The topic of the conference was the "Wolf-Ram-23" exercise.
