Maciej Gdula
Undersecretary of State
Sociologist, columnist, author and co-author of books, with a post-doctoral degree (doktor habilitowany) in social sciences.
In 2001, he graduated in sociology from the University of Warsaw. In 2006, he obtained a PhD from the Faculty of Philosophy and Sociology of the University of Warsaw. There, in 2016, he received a post-doctoral degree (habilitacja) in social sciences in the field of sociology. He is an associate of the Institute of Sociology and the Institute of Advanced Studies of the University of Warsaw. As a sociologist, he specialises in social theory and the study of social classes.
He is a columnist for Krytyka Polityczna monthly and a member of Stanisław Brzozowski Association (he was a member of the management board, he sat on the audit committee). He was the author of a report on a town called Miastko showing the growth and sources of political changes in Poland from the perspective of a small town. In 2019, he was elected to the Sejm of the 9th term.
