The first meeting of the Advisory Team to promote Polish research abroad was held at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. The meeting was attended by Deputy Minister Andrzej Szeptycki.

Promotion of the successes of Polish scientists

The newly established Team will develop proposals for solutions, including legal solutions, to promote Polish research abroad and to strengthen the position of Polish scientists on the international arena. It will also ensure that the achievements of Polish researchers are disseminated even more widely in the media.

The advisory team consists of representatives of research institutions and universities dealing with international cooperation. It is divided into four sub-teams: for researchers, for international institutions, for promotion instruments and for national institutions.

Polish achievements in research are worth disseminating

“We have met to consider what soft tools to provide our researchers with to make Polish research more attractive and recognisable around the world. We already have hard tools, i.e. skills and infrastructure. We also need to develop other directions,” said Deputy Minister Andrzej Szeptycki at the meeting.

“We want to promote our specialists who are pursuing a research career in Poland. Meanwhile, basic instruments are often missing. It is the norm in the West, for example, to create websites for new research projects in order to reach an even wider audience. This practice should also be popularised in our country,” added the Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

“We implement important and interesting projects. These achievements are worth talking about. I am convinced that there is space for them as well. I see room for professionalisation here,” concluded Deputy Minister Andrzej Szeptycki.
