European Congress of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises
The European Congress of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises is Europe’s largest event dedicated to companies from the SME sector. Since 2011, it has served as a platform for gaining new knowledge, exchanging views and inspiration, and building business relationships. During the thirteen editions to date, tens of thousands of entrepreneurs and experts from around the world have participated in the event.
Participants include not only representatives of the business sector, but also people associated with the government and local administration, business environment institutions, as well as the world of science and culture.
The congress was attended by Deputy Minister Marek Gzik, who pointed out the importance of cooperation between science and business. “We are in the midst of a deep economic transformation. We will not achieve success without the involvement and participation of Polish science. As a country, we are no longer a country of manpower, and this competitiveness in international markets means that if we want to be there and play a significant role, we must innovate. For this to happen, this cooperation at the interface between science and business must continue to improve, as this guarantees much better results. The situation of Polish science has been quite difficult and financially neglected for years. The Ministry is now trying to rectify this. A strong economy generates revenue, which in the long run can be a source of investment in various needs of society,” said the Secretary of State at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
