Poles take twelve medals at the mathematical world championships

The 38th International Championship of Mathematical and Logical Games belonged to the Poles. Polish enthusiasts of the queen of sciences have won a dozen medals for the second year in a row.
Medalists
During the competition held in Paris this year, the forty-six-member Polish team won two gold, eight silver and two bronze medals. Our athletes competed in eight age categories. In the L2 category – for undergraduate students of science and technology – the silver was won by Maciej Ignaciuk, and the bronze by a student of the Wrocław University of Technology, Łukasz Simbiga. Meanwhile, a four-person team of male and female students of the Faculty of Mathematics at the Wrocław University of Technology won silver in the student team competition, which was held for the first time.
Gold for Poland was won by athletes competing in the category of third-grade primary school students and in the category of upper secondary school students. Primary, secondary and post-secondary school students as well as mathematics and computer science professionals, returned home with the silver medal. And bronze was brought home by an athlete competing in the CM category - fourth and fifth grade students.

World Mathematical Championships
The French International Championship of Mathematical and Logical Games has been organized since 1987. Traditionally, they were held in Paris, however for the past several years the location of the final competition has been changing each year. In 2022, the Swiss city of Lausanne hosted the event, and a year ago, for the first time ever, Poland. This year the finals were played in the French capital.
