The head of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education attended the opening ceremony of Boeing Engineering Centre in Warsaw. “We want to be leaders in new technologies, research and development. We will support all such initiatives," said Dariusz Wieczorek. The investment will create several hundred new jobs in Poland, where Boeing already employs over 1,100 staff.

The opening of the Engineering Centre in Warsaw on 3rd June, is part of the company's global strategy. By identifying specialised design teams and engaging the best international talents, Boeing can develop effectively. Representatives of the American corporation stress the fact that such investments are possible thanks to the extremely gifted Polish staff and an excellent university system which educates specialists in many fields. All that is crucial for current and future aviation schemes.

“We possess excellent research potential in Poland which can serve the aviation industry worldwide,” said Minister Dariusz Wieczorek during the opening of Boeing Engineering Centre in Poland. “The Polish government is focusing on research and development. We want to become leaders in new technologies, research and development. We will support all such initiatives,” he added.

Boeing's investment not only highlights Poland's importance as a centre of technology in Europe, but also creates new opportunities for Polish engineers and scientists, contributing to the economic and technological growth of our country.

Boeing Engineering Centres in Poland

Boeing engineering offices have opened in Warsaw, Gdańsk and Rzeszów. The centres focus on structural and manufacturing engineering, as well as on software and system engineering, to support the company's commercial, defence and service programmes. They develop navigation systems, software for the latest civilian and military machines and technologies for autonomous and low-emission means of air transport.

Boeing's main engineering office in Rzeszów works on mechanical and electrical engineering. It also provides ongoing customer support. The Gdańsk branch, known for software development, specialises in system and avionics engineering, developing technologies used in Boeing aircraft. The teams in Warsaw focus on production engineering and material testing, working closely with the Institute of Aviation, part of Łukasiewicz Network.
