22.05.2025Poland has applied to accede to the Multilateral Treaty on Automatic Recognition of Higher Education QualificationsOn 22 May, Poland has applied to accede to the Multilateral Treaty on Automatic Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications. The proposal was presented by the Undersecretary of State Prof. Andrzej Szeptycki to the Secretary-General of the Benelux Union, Frans Weekers, on behalf of the Polish Government. The ceremony took place at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. This treaty was initiated a few years ago by the Benelux countries and the Baltic States. By joining the Treaty, Poland intends to promote academic mobility in the European Higher Education Area.

15.05.2025Poland and Switzerland strengthen their cooperation in science, higher education and innovationMonths of negotiations reached their conclusion in Poznań. A ceremony for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between representatives of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Poland and the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research of the Swiss Confederation took place at the Collegium Minus of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. The understanding is the outcome of several months of work by expert teams from both countries and represents a step towards a new chapter in Polish-Swiss cooperation in higher education, scientific research and innovation.

A gala ceremony was held at the Jordanki Cultural and Convention Center which brought together a distinguished group of representatives from the academic world. The event was not only an opportunity to honor outstanding scientists but also a moment to reflect on the role of science in shaping the future of Poland. - It is science that is the key to the country's economic, social and cultural development. Thanks to it, we can respond to the challenges of today, build an innovative economy and improve the quality of life for millions of Poles” - Minister Marcin Kulasek said. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education organized the gala in conjunction with Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń.

Earlier, Prime Minister Donald Tusk spoke with entrepreneurs to discuss proposed changes to simplify doing business. The prime minister declared that speaking one voice is very important in this effort.
