The winners of the 15th edition of the Student Nobel Prize competition have been selected. The initiative promotes student achievements in various fields. The competition has enjoyed great popularity over the last dozen years. This year's event gathered almost 700 participants from nearly 100 universities. The competition received support from the Social responsibility of science II programme launched by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.
What is the Student Nobel Prize?
The Student Nobel Prize is the only scholarship competition in Poland fully organised by a student organisation. Its initiator is the Independent Students' Association. The competition categories are related to innovation and investing in human capital. Thanks to the event, young people have the opportunity to use their achievements and gain recognition in the world of business, science and culture.
The scheme is aimed at students of public and private universities, of first- and second-cycle studies alike, as well as of uniform master's studies. Winners are selected on the following criteria: course grades, scientific, social and artistic work, cooperation with academic press and work on behalf of student self-government and organisations.
692 students representing 99 universities took part in this year's edition of the competition. The participants' works were assessed by the National Competition Committee consisting of 30 academic lecturers from 13 universities and by representatives of Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego.
